If this is the kind of SQL Server stuff you love learning about: these days I have AI do the annoying stuff for me. My new video course teaches you to work the same way, and I teach whole teams in a one-day workshop. Someone still has to know enough SQL Server to keep the robots in check, and that’s what my training is for.
It appears that you’re saying what I’ve been thinking since we migrated to SQL Server 2022 from 2016…

What’s killing me here is that the same problems appeared in 2019 and they’ve not fixed them in 2022. This is not “going in the right direction”. 🙁
p.s. Thank you for hammering all this stuff out for us. I wish MS spent as much time on it… maybe we wouldn’t have all these problems if they did.
